Analysis & modeling
Do STEM and humanities students know the same campus health resources?
Survey and interview analysis for a student health project: 143 survey responses and 10 interviews.
A researcher with the Black/Latinx AIDS Project is studying whether STEM and humanities students at UCLA are equally aware of the campus sexual health resources available to them. She arrived with 143 survey responses and 10 interviews, and needed statistical analysis to compare the two groups.
Shawn Wang, Lian Elsa Linton and Audrey Garcia worked with her on the analysis during Spring 2026.
It is a typical mixed-methods request for the squad: a researcher who knows the question and the people but not the statistics, and a small team that can help choose the methods.
